Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant & Life Care Planner (Expert Witness)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly credentialed Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant and Life Care Planner to provide comprehensive evaluation, analysis, and expert opinion services in litigation and clinical contexts. This role involves assessing employability, earning capacity, and future care needs for individuals with injuries, disabilities, or complex medical conditions.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, clinical judgment, and the ability to clearly communicate findings through written reports and expert testimony.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct vocational evaluations to assess employability, work capacity, and transferable skills
Perform loss of earning capacity analyses using labor market data and established methodologies
Develop comprehensive life care plans based on medical records, provider input, and standards of practice
Administer and interpret psychometric and vocational testing
Provide vocational rehabilitation counseling and career guidance
Review and synthesize medical, educational, and employment records
Prepare clear, defensible written reports for legal proceedings
Deliver expert testimony in depositions and trial settings
Collaborate with attorneys, physicians, and other professionals
Conduct labor market research and analysis to support opinions
Requirements
Qualifications
Education:
Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or a related field
Required Certifications:
Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC)
Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP)
Experience
Significant experience in vocational rehabilitation counseling and consulting
Demonstrated expertise in life care planning and earning capacity analysis
Prior experience providing expert testimony strongly preferred
Background working with attorneys, insurers, or government agencies is highly valued
