Full-Time opportunity in San Antonio, Texas
Schedule: 4 days a week

MissionVet is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Medical Oncologist to join our growing specialty hospital and established multidisciplinary team. You'll have the opportunity to manage a diverse oncology caseload while collaborating closely with specialists in Surgery & Orthopedics, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine.
You'll practice in a 13,000-square-foot specialty and emergency hospital with 5 operating rooms, 13 exam rooms, multiple procedure rooms, and advanced diagnostic capabilities including a 1.5T MRI, 16-slice CT, C-arm fluoroscopy, advanced ultrasound, and state-of-the-art endoscopy.

In your day-to-day, you will:
• Diagnose and manage a diverse medical oncology caseload.
• Provide comprehensive cancer care in collaboration with referring veterinarians and the MissionVet specialty team.
• Work closely with Surgery & Orthopedics, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic capabilities including CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and endoscopy to support patient care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and communicate options clearly with clients.
• Build strong relationships with referring veterinarians throughout San Antonio and South and West Texas.
• Contribute to case collaboration, mentorship, and the continued development of MissionVet's specialty services.
• Participate in continuing education and stay current with advances in veterinary oncology.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Board Certification in Medical Oncology or Residency Trained in Medical Oncology.
• Strong clinical and communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine.
