As a board-certified or residency-trained Medical Oncologist, you'll join an established, busy Oncology service within a state-of-the-art specialty and urgent care hospital where multidisciplinary medicine, professional development, and exceptional patient outcomes are central to the culture.
You'll work alongside experienced specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Urgent Care, and Behavior, creating opportunities to collaborate across disciplines on complex cases. Peak's dedicated oncology suite is designed with both patients and clinicians in mind, featuring a separate exam room, chemotherapy-safe treatment space, and advanced diagnostic capabilities.

In your day-to-day, you will:
- Manage oncology cases in close collaboration with internal medicine, radiation oncology, surgery, and critical care
- Oversee chemotherapy protocols and ensure compliance with USP 800 safety standards
- Support daily client communication, including treatment updates, refills, and question triage
- Mentor chemo-trained technicians, assistants, and support staff
- Pursue growth opportunities such as ultrasound training, ECT training, or clinical trial coordination
What You Bring
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Vermont state veterinary licensure.
- Completion of a residency in Medical Oncology.
- Board Certification or eligibility for board certification through ACVIM or ECVIM.
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for cross-specialty teamwork.
- A passion for continuous learning, education, mentorship, research, and advancing veterinary oncology.
