At Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital, you'll join an established, close-knit specialty team in a state-of-the-art 26,000-square-foot, 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital. You'll work alongside two Internists, two Radiologists, three Surgeons, an Anesthesiologist, two Ophthalmologists, a Critical Care Specialist, a Medical Oncologist, two Cardiologists, and a large team of dedicated Emergency Veterinarians-giving you an exceptional opportunity to collaborate across disciplines and manage complex cases with a true team behind you.
Port City's purpose-built hospital provides the advanced diagnostics and treatment capabilities you need to practice high-level Internal Medicine, including a dedicated endoscopy suite, ultrasound suite, 128-slice Canon CT scanner, dedicated fluoroscopy/C-arm suite, Siemens 1.5T MRI, in-house laboratory and pharmacy, digital radiography on both floors, and high-flow oxygen capabilities.
You'll also be joining at an exciting time for the hospital. Port City is expanding its specialty offerings with the opening of a Radiation Oncology Department in fall 2026, featuring an Elekta Versa HD Linear Accelerator with IMRT, VMAT, and SRT capabilities. This continued investment in advanced medicine creates even more opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration and professional growth.

In your day-to-day, you will:
- Manage complex internal medicine cases spanning GI, hepatobiliary, infectious disease, endocrine, hematologic, and respiratory conditions
- Perform and/or order diagnostics such as ultrasound, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, and CT
- Coordinate with specialty and emergency teams on shared patients and transfers
- Mentor technicians and assistants as part of daily case management
- Pursue growth opportunities in ultrasound proficiency, IR procedures, and electrochemotherapy (ECT) training
What You Bring
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for New Hampshire state veterinary licensure.
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Residency Trained in Internal Medicine.
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
- A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, mentorship, and advancing specialty medicine.
