Description
As a Veterinary Specialty Medical Director at ACCESS Los Angeles, in Culver City, CA, you’ll work in a leadership position full-time.About You
As a leader in our hospital, you'll drive positive change and growth. Your influence will shape our vision, foster an exceptional culture, and maintain high standards of care, leading one of the most respected specialty and emergency institutions in Southern California. Partnering with the practice manager and leadership team, you'll develop strategies, implement improvements, and guide our hospital towards excellence in patient and client care, while supporting staff development.
You’ll mentor specialists, ER veterinarians, interns, and residents at your hospital toward achieving medical excellence and enhancing patient care and outcomes through close collaboration with practice managers and hospital leadership. You’ll foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. With our comprehensive support, you'll be empowered to perform at your best. Utilize leadership training resources and mentorship programs to develop your skills and advance your career.

As a board-certified veterinarian specialist or experienced emergency clinician, you’re willing and able to shape the future of specialty care in a high-performing, multi-specialty environment. You’ll bring your prior leadership experience as a collaborative and approachable leader to succeed as the Veterinary Specialty Medical Director, where you’ll shape long-term vision and growth for the hospital.

We’re a renowned specialty and emergency hospital with a strong referral base, located in Culver City, CA, the heart of Los Angeles, focusing on a robust caseload in emergency care, cardiology, internal medicine, neurology, surgery, avian and exotic care, and orthopedic care. Our hospital is a team of highly engaged, board-certified specialists and experienced ER veterinarians, supporting a clientele who values diagnostics, collaboration, and the gold standard in care. We are open in emergency care 24 hours a day, and in specialty care Monday through Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, serving the Los Angeles area. ACCESS Los Angeles supports a robust caseload in advanced medicine, and clients who value diagnostics, collaboration, and the gold-standard in card.

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience with an annual base salary range starting at $300,000 / year. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available as well.
Your Experience & Skills
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
- State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, before their start date
- Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible
- Board Certified Specialist
