The Spa Manager acts as the Manager on Duty in Assistant Director's and Director's absence and/or as needed
- Excellent in the successful management of positive guest experiences and resolving guest experience situations that require resolution in a way that is empowering for the guests and colleagues while protecting our operating values.
- Exceptional skills in leading a large SPA operations team (100+ colleagues, including esthetics, massage, salon, specialty service providers, front desk, retail, and therapist assistants). Create an environment that supports, encourages and anticipates the needs of the guest experience and the colleague experience. Contribute to an environment that encourages authenticity, sincerity, warmth and fun.
- Exceptional ability to perform complex administrative tasks using Excel, MS word, Outlook and Powerpoint. Experience in managing business budgets, scheduling for efficiency managing expenses for operational supplies including completing inventories and purchase orders. Previous experience in the successful completion and accounting of payroll including scheduling, managing clock ins and outs, commissions, benefit pay and processing.
- Strong leadership values and execution of coaching and counselling corrective behavior for accountability, care, and consistency, while being collaborative, supportive and nurturing. Selecting, on-boarding and training top talent for all spa roles (service providers and support team). Able to meld leadership style and strengths into the Miraval colleague experience and current leadership team. Looking for a strength in values that allows the leader to act in instinct to do what is right by the guest, colleague and our financial obligations, while tailoring the messaging to each party in a way that care is center to the experience and conversation.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills. Must be results driven, goal oriented and able to meet deadlines. Strong desire to serve internal and external guests through heart led leadership style and with transparency and clarity.
Qualifications
- 3 + years of experience working in a spa operations role preferably in a resort spa or destination spa environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize items in a fast-paced work environment
- Must be available to work a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
