Description
The Construction Manager position is centered in Dallas, focusing on overseeing Outside Plant (OSP) construction activities for the client's fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) build. This role involves ensuring contractors complete projects to the highest quality standards, aligning with design specifications, and staying within budget constraints. Key responsibilities include coordinating with local and state municipalities, other utilities, and various departments such as Logistics, Contract Administration, and Project Management. The position requires effective teamwork with the client's Construction Supervisor and OSP Engineer and facilitates interactions across diverse departments like sales, marketing, and operations. A thorough understanding of OSP construction standards, safety requirements, permitting, and project scheduling is essential, along with strong communication skills for managing project inspections and reporting. Candidates need a minimum of five years of combined experience in Outside Plant construction and splicing, including experience approving large budget invoices. They must be adept at interpreting FTTH prints and redlines and capable of handling physically demanding tasks outdoors, such as in inclement weather or during extended periods of driving. The role requires flexibility for overtime, on-call duties, and occasional overnight travel. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, hospitalization coverage, and more. Additional perks cover direct deposit, weekly pay periods, training and development opportunities, and a 401K program with company match after 12 months. Workers also have access to an employee assistance program and various corporate discount savings. The client's strategic offerings aim to provide employees with financial security and professional growth. They offer a stock purchase program, health savings account, and avenues for professional development such as on-demand training, access to certification prep, and a vast library of courses and seminars. The benefits extend to substantial discounts on industry-standard certification courses. Moreover, a dedicated customer service team is in place to address inquiries regarding benefits and resources to ensure consultants receive the support they need. This position is an excellent opportunity for those looking to grow in the construction management field within a large, supportive network.
