The Construction Manager position is centered in Dallas, focusing on overseeing Outside Plant (OSP) construction activities for the client's fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) build. This role involves ensuring contractors complete projects to the highest quality standards, aligning with design specifications, and staying within budget constraints. Key responsibilities include coordinating with local and state municipalities, other utilities, and various departments such as Logistics, Contract Administration, and Project Management. The position requires effective teamwork with the client's Construction Supervisor and OSP Engineer and facilitates interactions across diverse departments like sales, marketing, and operations. A thorough understanding of OSP construction standards, safety requirements, permitting, and project scheduling is essential, along with strong communication skills for managing project inspections and reporting. Candidates need a minimum of five years of combined experience in Outside Plant construction and splicing, including experience approving large budget invoices. They must be adept at interpreting FTTH prints and redlines and capable of handling physically demanding tasks outdoors, such as in inclement weather or during extended periods of driving. The role requires flexibility for overtime, on-call duties, and occasional overnight travel.
