You'll provide the insight, judgement and challenge needed to support better decisions across large-scale technology initiatives that matter to our customers and the Group.

You'll join the centre Technology Finance team, a highly visible group that sits at the heart of Technology Finance. The team partners with Technology Finance Business Partners, Technology leaders and Group Finance to provide decision support, investment oversight, capitalisation expertise and consolidated reporting across the Technology portfolio.

This is a collaborative, intellectually curious environment where people are trusted to operate with judgement, work through ambiguity and influence outcomes at scale.

Your impact

In this role you will:

• Provide strategic decision support through financial analysis on technology investments and initiatives, including ad-hoc and complex problem solving
• Lead aspects of Technology financial planning, ensuring investment spend plans are accurately loaded, reviewed and validated across teams
• Act as a subject matter expert in technical accounting and capitalisation, advising on asset creation, balance sheet treatment and investment outcomes
• Run capitalisation reviews with Crew Leads to assess capitalisable assets
• Consolidate financial inputs from multiple Technology Finance teams and report insights, risks and outcomes to Group Finance
• Play a key role in quarter-end and year-end processes
• Build strong relationships across Technology, Finance and Group Finance, acting as a trusted adviser on complex or grey-area issues

• Strong technical accounting capability within large or complex organisations
• Proven capitalisation experience, including judgement-based asset assessments
• Consolidation experience, pulling together diverse inputs and reporting at senior levels
• A strong decision-support mindset with the ability to work in ambiguity and incomplete information
• Advanced analytical and abstract thinking skills
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Professional qualifications (CA / CPA / CIMA / CFA) and a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline are required
