Shore Financial is seeking a Senior Financial Planner / Wealth Lead to play a key role in building and scaling its financial planning division.
This is a unique opportunity to step into a business with an established client base, strong referral ecosystem, and significant untapped opportunity, and take ownership of growing a wealth offering within a high-performance, multi-service business.
With over $5B in mortgage lending under management and $2B+ in annual loan settlements, the business presents a substantial pipeline of high-quality clients requiring financial advice.
This role will initially combine client-facing advice with business-building responsibilities, with a clear pathway to transition into a leadership and management role as the division scales.
Key Responsibilities
Client Advice & Revenue Generation
Deliver high-quality, compliant advice across:
o Superannuation and retirement planning
o Investments and portfolio construction
o Personal risk insurance
Manage the end-to-end client lifecycle (discovery → strategy → implementation → review)
Convert internally generated opportunities into long-term advice relationships
Build a strong base of recurring revenue through ongoing client engagement
Wealth Business Development & Growth
Play a leading role in building and scaling Shore’s financial planning division
Design and implement scalable processes across:
o Client onboarding
o Advice delivery
o Review processes
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, client experience, and conversion rates
Contribute to defining the structure, offering, and growth strategy of the wealth business
Integration with Shore Ecosystem
Partner closely with brokers and management team to maximise cross-sell opportunities
Embed financial planning into the broader Shore client journey
Leverage the existing client base and referral network to drive growth
Ensure advice is integrated into a holistic financial strategy for clients
Systems, Process & Infrastructure
Help establish and refine systems to support scaling the advice business
Work with internal teams to ensure CRM and client data are effectively captured and utilised
Improve workflow efficiency and reduce friction across the advice process
Support implementation of tools and processes that enable future team growth
Leadership & Team Development (Future-Focused)
Contribute to the hiring, onboarding, and development of future planners and support staff
Help define team structure, roles, and responsibilities as the division grows
Transition into a broader leadership role over time, with responsibility for team performance and output
Drive a high-performance culture aligned with Shore’s broader business
Compliance & Advice Quality
Deliver advice in line with AFSL requirements and internal compliance frameworks
Maintain high-quality documentation (SOAs, file notes, client records)
Ensure strong audit outcomes and adherence to regulatory standards
Key Requirements
5+ years’ experience as a Financial Planner
Meets all education and regulatory requirements
Proven ability to convert opportunities into ongoing client relationships
Strong commercial mindset with a focus on revenue and growth
Interest and capability in building and scaling a business, not just writing advice
Strong understanding of systems, processes, and operational efficiency
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, integrated environment
Leadership potential and desire to take on broader responsibility over time
Work Arrangement
This is a full-time, office-based role in North Sydney.
Given the importance of collaboration with brokers, leadership, and the broader team, a consistent in-office presence is required.
