Permanent Senior Accounts Officer (AP and AR), Up to 85K plus super, Mascot area - office based. Your new company
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Officer (AP and AR) to join a successful and growing business operating nationally with 2 locations in Sydney.
This role offers a fantastic blend of high-volume, complex Accounts Payable responsibilities alongside customer-focused Accounts Receivable and collections duties. You'll join a collaborative finance team, working alongside a large AP function and a smaller AR team, providing plenty of opportunity to learn and develop your skills. Key responsibilities include:

• End-to-end processing of high-volume supplier invoices
• Managing complex invoice queries and discrepancies
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve issues
• Supporting payment runs and maintaining accurate records
• Chasing outstanding debts and managing collections
• Building strong relationships with customers over the phone and via email
• Investigating and resolving account queries
• Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts
• Supporting credit control processes

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a combined AP/AR or Accounts Officer position
• Strong Accounts Payable experience, ideally within a high-volume environment
• Confidence handling collections and debt recovery conversations
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience using ERP systems, with exposure to Concur and/or Business Central highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
• Team-oriented approach with a positive, can-do attitude
