SEASONAL EMPLOYEES

Seasonal general laborer positions, $15.61 - $16.65 hourly, no benefits. Successful completion of Civil Service Examination is required, and applicants must meet all requirements set forth in the Employees Civil Service Ordinance. Pre-employment background investigation is required.

This position performs routine maintenance of lawn/power equipment and records preventive maintenance activities according to established procedures. Also, participates in the maintenance of recreational fields and park facilities and equipment. An individual in this position performs the following duties: planting of flowers, trees and shrubs; weeding flower beds; pruning trees; removing or replacing tree posts; tree/limb removal; maintaining shrubs, picking up trash; landscape construction; adheres to all applicable safety procedures while operating equipment and tools; participates in safety training. In addition, operates light vehicles, trucks, maintenance equipment such as: tractors, mowers, trimmers, edgers, box scrappers, tillers, blowers,
spreaders, wheelbarrows, hand tools, and pruning tools.
