Key Responsibilities
- Provide insightful and supportive individual mental health counseling sessions via secure video chat platforms.
- Employ solution-focused therapeutic approaches tailored to meet the unique needs and circumstances of each client.
- Develop personalized treatment plans that align with clients' goals and monitor their progress throughout the therapeutic process.
- Assist clients in gaining insights about their emotions, relationships, and behaviors to foster greater self-awareness and healing.
- Educate clients on healthy coping mechanisms, wellness strategies, and life skills to improve their overall quality of life.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will focus on treating low acuity adults who present with a variety of mental health concerns. The clients will often be stable but may seek support for issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and stress management. Your expertise will help empower clients to navigate their mental health journeys effectively, fostering resilience and personal growth.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice independently in the state of Texas, including LPC, LMFT, or LCSW credentials.
- No provisional or limited licenses; candidates must demonstrate no disciplinary actions on record.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to client care.
- Proficient in using digital communication tools and have a solid command of computer literacy.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in telehealth or remote therapeutic practices, particularly in providing counseling services to adults.
- Familiarity with solution-focused and cognitive-behavioral therapy modalities.
- Experience working with diverse populations, demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity.
