Portfolio Manager, Wellspring Family Office
Mayfield Heights, OH | Full time, in office | Travel 5-15%
Base salary: Industry Competitive, plus annual bonus and benefits

Wellspring manages about $6.5 billion for roughly 80 families, and many of the relationships go back more than one generation. We're hiring a Portfolio Manager to work side by side with our CIO and manage portfolios built around each family's tax picture and cash needs. You'll have a direct hand in investment decisions from the start. We want an independent thinker who speaks up when the data disagrees with the room and stands behind the call once it's made.

The work

Model portfolio construction, drift-based rebalancing, and trade execution across custodians.
Lead research across funds and asset classes and help shape the firm's macro and allocation views.
Watch concentration, correlation, drawdown, and liquidity risk across client portfolios, and act on what you find.
Work with our advisors and our tax, estate, and private markets teams so each family's public and private holdings run as one portfolio.
Present positioning in family meetings and write investment notes advisors and families actually read.
Coach our junior analysts and review their work.
 

What you bring

At least 5 years managing discretionary and non-discretionary portfolios.
CFA preferred, CAIA a plus.
A track record of research that moved a portfolio and the judgment to know when not to trade.
Clear writing and a comfortable presence in front of clients.
Advanced Excel, plus hands-on use of AI tools in your research.
