Position Summary

The School of Pharmacy at Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, WI provides a 4-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program designed to train pharmacists as servant leaders who deliver value-based, patient-centered care in diverse healthcare settings.

CUW is famous for our beautiful campus on 200 acres of lakefront property on the shores of Lake Michigan, about 20 minutes North of Milwaukee. We invite applications for a full-time 12-month faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences, focused on pharmacology as described below. The eligible candidate for this position will be expected to conduct research/scholarship in areas related to pharmacology, broadly defined. The anticipated start date is August 1st, 2027.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Teaching within the Pharmaceutical Sciences area, demonstrating excellent pedagogical and student evaluation skills
• Teaching in other content areas as assigned, depending on the interest and expertise of the candidate
• Advising and mentoring students academically and on scholarly projects
• Development of a robust research/scholarship program in the applicant's major field of interest
• Actively pursue external support for scholarship
• Service to the School of Pharmacy, University, Community and Profession
• Other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
• Ability to effectively collaborate is required
• An established record of scholarship and experience in academia or industry is preferred
• Prior successful teaching experience in a university setting is preferred
• Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Must hold an earned doctorate (PhD, D.Sc., MD, DO, DVM or equivalent) in pharmacology or a closely related field.
• Candidates applying directly from a postdoctoral position will be considered.
• Concordia University faculty must be active members of Christian congregations.
