Municipal Associate Attorney
Ogden Murphy Wallace, P.L.L.C. is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Municipal Practice Group in Seattle, Washington. We are looking for a motivated attorney with a strong interest in municipal law, excellent research and writing skills, litigation experience, superior academic credentials, and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, municipal officials, and staff.

Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have:
- At least 3 years of legal experience.
- Experience with, or a demonstrated interest in, municipal law.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Litigation experience.
- Superior academic credentials.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience or interest in one or more of the following areas:
- Land use and zoning
- Public records and open government laws
- Public bidding and contracting
- Municipal ethics
- Tribal law
- Water law
- Personnel, employment, and labor law
Responsibilities
- Support and advise City Councils, Mayors, City staff members, and local boards and commissions.
- Research and analyze complex legal issues affecting municipal clients.
- Draft and review ordinances, resolutions, policies, and procedures.
- Provide telephone and email legal advice to municipal clients.
- Counsel clients regarding compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Attend City Council, board, and commission meetings.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with prospective and existing clients.
- Represent municipal clients in litigation, administrative appeals, hearings, and other proceedings.
- Review municipal documents for compliance with the Washington Public Records Act.
- Negotiate, draft, and review contracts, deeds, leases, bid documents, bonds, easements, interlocal agreements, and related legal documents.

Compensation
Base Salary: $145,000 - $175,000 annually
Additional compensation opportunities include:
- Annual discretionary profit-sharing contribution
- Non-discretionary bonus opportunities
