We are seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our growing CVCA team. In this role, you will help ensure we are providing exceptional experiences for our patients and their families. You will utilize your full range of technical skills in a supportive, specialty environment.
Your Impact Will Include:
- Advanced Clinical Skills: You will perform patient examinations, auscultate heart and lung sounds, and determine normal vs. abnormal TPRs.
- Nursing Excellence: You will provide quality care to patients, including restraint, bandage maintenance, and administering medications (PO/IV/SUBQ/IM).
- Anesthesia & Surgery: In some locations, you may assist in surgery, maintaining aseptic environments, performing endotracheal intubation, and monitoring anesthesia for patient safety.
- Laboratory & Imaging: You may perform laboratory procedures (hematology and blood chemistry) and manage diagnostic imaging and radiographs while implementing safety protocols.
- Client Communication: You will educate clients professionally, obtaining accurate medical histories and explaining symptoms and treatments.
- Pharmacy Management: You will prepare and dispense medications, calculate dosages, and handle biohazardous materials according to safety regulations.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Required: Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to educate clients with compassion.
- Good judgment and the ability to manage stressful situations with composure.
