Description
Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) is seeking an Instructional Program Manager (IPM) for the College’s Dental Programs. The Instructional Program Manager provides leadership for two of Florida State College at Jacksonville's most vibrant, dynamic, and highly engaged programs. The Dental Hygiene Associates Degree program and Dental Assisting Career Certificate program are located at the College’s North Campus in a state-of-the-art dental suite that includes a recently constructed 27-chair clinic that provides much-needed dental hygiene services to the local community.

The Dental Hygiene program has a 50+ year history in the community with a strong alliance with the dental community of Duval and Nassau counties and beyond. Graduates of the Dental Hygiene program at FSCJ have maintained a 100% pass rate on the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination for the last 15 years. FSCJ’s Dental Assisting program is the only CODA-accredited dental assisting program in Northeast Florida. The Instructional Program Manager (IPM) is responsible for the academic, administrative, clinical, and operational leadership of the College's Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs. The Program Manager provides leadership to ensure that both programs maintain compliance with the standards and requirements of the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), institutional policies, applicable state and federal regulations, and professional standards.
The IPM works collaboratively with faculty, college administrators, students, clinical partners, Business and Industry Leadership Team (BILT) members, and community stakeholders to ensure that program goals, curriculum, student learning outcomes, clinical education, faculty qualifications, resources, and assessment processes support the preparation of competent entry-level dental professionals.
The IPM serves as a primary institutional resource for matters related to dental education and is responsible for coordinating program evaluation, assessment, accreditation activities, continuous quality improvement, faculty development, clinical education, student progression, and resource planning.
The position requires demonstrated leadership in dental education, strong organizational and communication skills, knowledge of CODA accreditation requirements, and the ability to balance academic quality with effective program administration.
Requirements
At a minimum, the selected candidate will have a Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution, three (3) years of related experience, have an active dental hygiene or dental license from any state, and three (3) years of work experience in college teaching and/or administration. Additionally, the preferred candidate will be a dental hygienist and Certified Dental Assistant or a dentist who is a graduate of a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and possess a masters or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution, and have a background in education and the professional experience.
