At its heart is a celebrated Robert Trent Jones Sr. nine-hole golf course, thoughtfully designed with separate tees for each nine and the rare luxury of play without tee times.

Tennis, croquet, full-service dining, and a vibrant summer children's program create a warm and active club experience.

Quaker Hill's stunning hilltop setting was chosen by founder Lowell Thomas in the late 1930s for its sweeping views and natural beauty. He enlisted the renowned architect to design a course that would challenge skilled golfers while remaining enjoyable for players of all abilities. Since opening in 1940, the course has welcomed generations of
members and guests, including legends such as Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen.

GOLF
Stretching more than 6,000 yards, the par-70 course rewards thoughtful play with rolling fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and small, undulating greens that challenge even experienced golfers.

TENNIS
Two beautifully maintained courts provide the setting for friendly matches and competitive play. Members enjoy private and group lessons, plus a lively calendar of mixed doubles tournaments and round robins.

CROQUET
A long-beloved tradition, played on a regulation-size court meticulously maintained by our grounds crew. Weekly games welcome members of all ages and abilities - friendly competition and camaraderie in equal measure.

SOCIAL&DINING

The Opportunity

Reports to: Second Vice President

Supervises: Pro Shop and Outside Staff

The Head Golf Professional plays a pivotal role in ensuring the satisfaction and happiness of club members through a welcoming attitude and innovative ideas that resonate with the established culture. Successful fulfillment of the role means maintaining a comfortable atmosphere and earning positive feedback on new initiatives. A smooth transition -seamless handovers and enhanced yet stable operations, particularly in pro shop management and the tournament experience - is essential. High engagement and strong interaction across all skill levels help maintain the spirit of Quaker Hill's golf culture.

Success also involves infusing energy into the club with fresh ideas -fun events, and maintaining quality merchandising - while planning for future goals and events. Strong leadership and communication skills are crucial: they foster respect and admiration from members and ensure cohesive operations throughout the club. The Head Professional's ability to lead with clarity and respect further defines success in this role.

Experience Required

Experience and Qualifications
• Class A PGA Member in good standing
• Minimum of five years' experience, preferably in a private facility setting
• A verifiable record of staff development and intuitive mentoring is considered a plus
• Proficient in point-of-sale systems and other applications that enhance operations and
the member golf experience

Essential Responsibilities

Five priorities for the role
Member Engagement. Relates naturally to members of all ages and skill levels, fostering excitement and increased participation through engaging programs, tournaments, and a welcoming personality.

Teaching & Player Development. A strong teaching background with the patience to work with beginners, higher-handicap players, and juniors - focused on revitalizing golf and increasing participation. Commitment to making golf genuinely fun for junior golfers and supervising the kids' summer program.

Golf Operations. Promote and manage tournaments, oversee golf course management, and enforce rules, including pace of play and appropriate course attire.

Pro Shop & Operations. Promote and supervise pro shop merchandising and course organization - including pace of play and appropriate course attire.

Interpersonal Skills & Commitment. High emotional intelligence, empathy, and a warm, welcoming attitude.
