Description
Job Purpose and ImpactThe Fleet Operation Management Specialist will oversees end-to-end fleet management for a medium-sized, moderately complex fleet supporting the transportation of agricultural produce and milling by-products, including coordination of fleet operators. You will work closely with operational leadership to ensure daily equipment availability and support the smooth running of plantation operations. We are seeking a professional with strong interpersonal skills and experience in fleet operations, data management, research and analysis, as well as safety and regulatory compliance. The role also involves planning, monitoring, and controlling operational costs, along with managing staff and budgets in close coordination with Estate Operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Analyze equipment and operator requirements to support operational needs.
- Review operational costs and provide recommendations to Estate Operations to improve efficiency and drive optimization.
- Work closely with Estate Operations to ensure all legal and regulatory documentation is current and compliant with company policies and government regulations.
- Coordinate with the EHS Fleet team on safety and regulatory compliance initiatives, including driver and operator orientation, compliance reporting, equipment maintenance records, and safety training programs.
- Supervise team members responsible for evaluating transportation and distribution processes to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery operations.
- Lead, develop, and coach team members, including training, performance management, and decision-making related to talent development and disciplinary actions. (Recruitment activities are typically carried out in coordination with the HR team.)
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, preferably in transportation engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of two years' relevant work experience in fleet management, logistics, or supply chain/transport operations.
- Ability to operate Power BI is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in English is considered an added value.
- Additional minimum qualifications may apply as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of supervisory experience.
- Additional experience in driving skill will be an added advantage
