Description
Small downtown Indianapolis general practice firm looking for an attorney with a minimum of five years of litigation experience eager to become an integral part of the firm with a unique client base. The firm’s litigation practice includes civil and criminal litigation in state and federal courts, including employment and public safety law, Section 1983 civil rights claims, and personal injury. Additional firm practice areas include estate planning and domestic relations.
Requirements
Your Role in this Position
- Cover all phases of litigation; immediately assume important role in ongoing cases
- Manage cases both pre- and post-suit
- Advise clients through consultations and develop legal strategies alongside senior attorneys
- Manage litigation flow and ensure compliance with deadlines
- Manage timely reporting to clients
- Manage discovery including significant interaction with clients
- Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials across Indiana
- Draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, discovery, pleadings, affidavits, and settlement agreements
Requirements
5 years of litigation experience
Must have IN license
Critical thinker and problem-solver
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with investigations, pleadings, research, discovery, depositions, and mediations. Trial experience preferred.Compensation and Benefits
