Overview

Double J Ranch Golf Club is seeking a motivated, service-oriented Assistant Golf Professional to support daily golf operations while delivering an exceptional member and guest experience. This role assists with tournament operations, merchandising, player services, instruction, and staff supervision while helping maintain the high standards and culture of the club.

The ideal candidate is energetic, professional, organized, and passionate about the game of golf and hospitality.

Essential Responsibilities

Golf Operations

• Assist with all daily golf shop operations and opening/closing procedures
• Coordinate tee sheet management and pace of play
• Provide outstanding customer service to members, guests, tournaments, and outings
• Support outside operations staff and ensure smooth daily play
• Maintain accurate POS transactions, inventory controls, and member charges
• Assist with golf cart fleet management and practice facility operations

Tournament & Event Management

• Help organize and execute tournaments, leagues, junior golf events, and special outings
• Prepare tournament materials including scorecards, pairings, signage, and scoring
• Assist with event setup, scoring, and prize presentations

Merchandising & Golf Shop

• Assist with merchandising displays and inventory management
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards in the golf shop
• Help manage special orders and retail sales
• Recommend merchandise selections and monitor stock levels

Staff Leadership

• Help supervise outside service staff and cart attendants
• Train and mentor seasonal employees
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
• Lead by example through professionalism and service excellence
