Position: Assistant Golf Professional
Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a full-time Assistant Golf Professional to join the team at Barton Creek Country Club - Lakeside Golf Course in Spicewood, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hospitality, golf operations, and delivering exceptional guest service in a premier resort setting.
As a Golf Professional at Lakeside, this role will be involved in all aspects of golf operations, including daily play management, member and guest services, tournament operations, and merchandising. The position will also play an active role in conducting private lessons and group clinics, helping golfers of all skill levels improve their game while enhancing the overall member experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and assist with daily golf operations, including tee sheet management, pace of play, and member/guest services
- Coordinate and execute tournaments and events, including setup, scoring, and post-event activities
- Provide high-quality instruction, including private lessons and group clinics for players of varying skill levels
- Support golf shop operations, including merchandising, inventory control, and retail sales
- Supervise and collaborate with outside services staff, ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure (bag drop, cart staging, practice facilities, and course setup)
- Maintain a visible and engaging presence with members and guests to foster relationships and elevate the club experience
- Assist in enforcing club policies, rules of play, and safety standards
- Must be enrolled in or have completed Level 1 of the Professional Golfers' Association of America Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program
- Previous experience in golf operations, hospitality, or a private club environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented mindset
- Passion for the game of golf and a desire to grow within the golf profession
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and tournament weeks
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (full-time)
- Consistent weekly schedule designed to support work-life balance
- Flexibility required during tournament weeks, including potential additional or adjusted hours to support events and ensure exceptional guest experiences

Experience Required
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in a golf operation
- PGA Apprentice (Level 1 minimum); PGA Member preferred
- Strong communication, professionalism, and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and golf POS/tee time systems
