Hightop Health is a physician-led outpatient mental health practice built to support high-quality, integrative, and evidence-based psychiatric care. Hightop partners with established, physician-led practices to expand access to comprehensive and interventional mental health services while preserving local clinical leadership and identity.
Our Georgia footprint includes Psych Atlanta and Georgia Psychiatry & Sleep, while our Texas footprint includes Roots Behavioral Health. Each practice is part of Hightop’s network while maintaining its distinct clinical culture and leadership. Across the platform, psychiatrists have access to advanced interventional treatments including TMS, ketamine therapy, and SPRAVATO®, as well as research opportunities, psychotherapy collaboration, and centralized administrative support.
In Georgia, Hightop’s clinical teams maintain an academic affiliation with Emory University, supporting collaboration in education, training, and evidence-based practice. Psychiatrists at Hightop may be nominated for consideration for Adjunct Faculty appointments within Emory University’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This relationship reflects Hightop’s commitment to academic rigor, ongoing professional development, and the integration of current research into clinical care.

Hightop Health was formed with a clear purpose: to support outstanding psychiatric care by bringing together respected, physician-led practices under a shared clinical vision—without sacrificing autonomy, identity, or the practice of good medicine.
The foundation of Hightop’s network is built on long-standing, community-trusted practices that chose to come together in order to expand clinical capabilities, share expertise, and better support both patients and physicians.
Psych Atlanta, founded in the mid-1990s, has served the Atlanta metropolitan area for decades with locations across Marietta, Roswell, Johns Creek, and surrounding communities. Known for its thoughtful, patient-centered approach and leadership in integrative and interventional psychiatry, Psych Atlanta has long been a referral destination for patients with complex and treatment-resistant conditions. Its clinicians helped shape the early clinical culture that now defines Hightop’s approach to care.
Georgia Psychiatry & Sleep joined Hightop as an established practice offering integrated psychiatric and sleep medicine services. Led by experienced local physicians, GPS sought alignment with a broader clinical network while preserving its dual-focus specialty care model. Its addition strengthened Hightop’s commitment to whole-person treatment and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Roots Behavioral Health, founded in Austin in 2016, brought a complementary perspective focused on accessible, holistic, and interventional behavioral health care, including recovery-oriented psychiatry. Roots’ clinical philosophy and experience in interventional treatment models expanded Hightop’s expertise beyond Georgia and reinforced a shared belief in innovative, evidence-based care for complex patient populations.
Today, Hightop Health is a growing network of physician-led practices unified by common values: clinical excellence, academic rigor, thoughtful innovation, and respect for physician autonomy. Each practice within the network retains its local leadership, culture, and patient relationships, while benefiting from shared infrastructure, research opportunities, and advanced interventional treatment capabilities.
Hightop’s evolution has been guided by psychiatrists who believe that sustainable, high-quality care is best delivered when physicians are supported, not managed, and when growth is driven by clinical purpose rather than volume alone.
