Company Profile

Eagle Mount Bozeman

Company Overview

Our Mission:
Eagle Mount Bozeman is committed to provide quality adaptive recreation and sport opportunities for people with disabilities and young people impacted by cancer, and to provide support for families of participants, so that “they shall mount up with wings as eagles.”

For nearly 40 years, with the help and support of a generous community, We’ve focused on celebrating abilities and removing barriers to recreation. We serve individuals with disabilities of all ages, as well as people with cancer. Whether horseback riding, skiing, swimming, gardening, cycling, climbing, or enjoying a variety of other activities, our participants and their families expand their horizons in a multitude of ways through each of Montana’s four seasons. Recreation means a lot more than play-time; it is a chance for “re-creation” — restoring yourself by discovering new strength, confidence, freedom, and joy.

Company History

Eagle Mount was established in 1982 by Robert and Greta Mathis. The Mathises believed recreation opportunities could empower those with disabilities to “mount up with wings as eagles,” and they created a small ski program. Since then—thanks to our caring community of supporters—Eagle Mount has grown to occupy a 19-acre campus in Bozeman, as well as offer a broad spectrum of activities, camps, and events for its participants. Following its founders’ wishes, Eagle Mount never turns anyone away if they cannot pay, and is funded entirely through private dollars. These days, we offer about 2,000 experiences a year, serving close to 1,000 people, with the help of an equal number of volunteers. Recognized by the Today Show as one of five small U.S. charities that make a big difference, we continue to find joy in the human spirit and embrace opportunities to remove barriers to recreation.

Benefits

Excellent benefits package includes: agency sponsored health/dental/vision, 4% 403(b) retirement match, generous PTO and the opportunity to work in a mission-driven culture.
