Low Voltage Department Manager We are seeking a Low Voltage Department Manager who is responsible for the oversite all operations of the low voltage department, including project management, team leadership, business development, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality systems installations across disciplines such as security, fire alarm, access control, audiovisual, and structured cabling. This is a senior leadership role that demands both deep technical expertise and strong business acumen, with the expectation of driving departmental growth while maintaining operational excellence. The successful candidate will serve as a primary point of accountability for department performance, client satisfaction, and team development.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead and manage all aspects of the low voltage department, including estimating, project management, and field operations.
Oversee a team of project managers, field supervisors, and technicians; provide ongoing mentorship, coaching, and performance guidance.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and vendors to generate new business and retain existing accounts.
Review and approve bids, proposals, and change orders to ensure profitability, accuracy, and alignment with company standards.
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery across all projects.
Collaborate with the leadership team on department growth strategy, workforce planning, and financial targets.
Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Conduct regular site visits and project status reviews to maintain quality control and team accountability.
Manage subcontractor relationships and oversee procurement of materials and equipment.
Prepare and present monthly department performance reports to senior leadership, including financial summaries, project status, and staffing updates.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
BICSI RCDD Certification 5 to 7+ years of experience in the low voltage industry, including fire alarm, security, access control, audiovisual, structured cabling, or related systems 3+ years in a management or leadership role with direct responsibility for overseeing teams and project portfolios Strong estimating and project management skills with a demonstrated track record of delivering profitable, high-quality projects Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and grow a book of business within a competitive market Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively Experience with industry software including project management platforms and estimating tools. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites as required by business needs Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Ready to Apply?
