Experienced Veterinarian
At Weston Creek Veterinary Hospital we are looking for an experienced vet to join our team.
While this role is ideally suited to a full-time team member, we’re open to discussing flexible arrangements with multiple part-time candidates. We understand the importance of balancing work with family and personal commitments, and we’re happy to explore rostering options that support school pickups, caregiving responsibilities, and healthy work–life balance while still meeting the needs of the role.

About the Role
The role of an experienced Veterinarian within our hospital offers the opportunity to take a key position in delivering exceptional patient care while helping guide the clinical direction of our team.
We are seeking a passionate and confident professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to maintaining high standards of veterinary medicine and client service.
This role provides the chance to work with a supportive team, modern facilities, and a diverse caseload.
Daily responsibilities will include consulting and diagnosing patients, performing surgical and medical procedures, developing treatment plans, communicating with clients, collaborating closely with nurses and support staff, and contributing to the continuous improvement of clinical practices and patient outcomes.
There are no afterhours or on call shifts,
About you
You are an experienced and compassionate Veterinarian who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive and collaborative hospital culture. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working as part of a supportive team, and are committed to achieving the highest standards of veterinary medicine.
You will ideally bring:
- A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in small animal practice
- Strong clinical and surgical skills with confidence managing a varied caseload
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues
- A collaborative and team-focused approach to patient care
- The ability to mentor and support nurses and early-career veterinarians
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning
- A compassionate, positive, and professional attitude
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- A genuine passion for animal health, wellbeing, and high-quality patient outcomes
Hold a Veterinary Degree registrable with the ACT Veterinary Practitioners Board
