Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the VP, HR Business Partnership will provide insight and support in the development and implementation of a comprehensive and sustainable Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partnership strategy and plan that aligns with and supports the strategic direction of Vancity. This role provides senior leadership, direction, coaching and management to members of the HR Consulting and Talent Acquisition team, including oversight of the daily functioning and operations. These functions include the requirement to drive a positive focus on employee engagement, succession management, talent development, organizational culture and effective people practices at all levels of the organization.
The ideal candidate is a values-driven human resources executive who has advanced progressive HR programs and supported change in a large, complex organization with best-in-class internal HR processes. Specific experience in financial services, particularly banking, or unionized environments would be a significant asset. A highly strategic HR leader with a strong business partner ethos, the preferred candidate brings experience across all facets of HR with specific expertise overseeing talent acquisition, business partnerships as well as a wide range of employee relations issues. The successful candidate is a credible and pragmatic advisor, with strong judgement and the ability to navigate complex employee situations with confidence. The role is ideally suited to HR leaders who have the ability to work at pace, the interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization, and a passion for purpose-driven organizations and alignment with Vancity’s values.

This role offers a salary range of $204,000 to $240,000 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of the total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
