Where Precision Meets Purpose. Dataforth Corporation isn't just a company; it’s an engineering legacy. Born from the elite Burr-Brown pedigree, we are a lean, high-octane team in Tucson, AZ, dedicated to one goal: building the world’s most rugged and precise "Instrument Class" signal conditioning and data acquisition solutions.
We don't do "disposable" consumer tech. We build hardware that survives in the harshest environments on Earth. Here, you aren't a cog in a corporate machine - you are a primary architect. You will own your designs from the first simulation to the final product rolling off our on-site manufacturing floor. If you are a high achiever who thrives on independence and technical rigor, your next career chapter starts here.
The Challenge: Forget "bloatware" and high-level abstractions. We need a Firmware Engineer who loves to work "close to the metal." You will architect the deterministic, real-time intelligence that powers our Data Acquisition systems and smart modules. In our world, "latency" isn't an annoyance—it's a mission-critical parameter.
Why this role stands out:
- Hardware-Centric Coding: You aren't just writing code; you are maximizing capabilities of precision hardware, working hand-in-hand with our circuit designers.
- Complexity & Variety: From implementing Fielbus and IIoT/Cloud protocols to optimizing high-speed data conversions and processing, your day-to-day will never be stagnant.
- Autonomy: We provide the objective; you provide the path. You have the freedom to select the best algorithms and architectures to get the job done.
Requirements
What you bring to the table:
- Academic Excellence: A BSEE or BSCE (MSEE/MSCE preferred) with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Your transcript reflects a passion for RTOS, DSP, and Microprocessor Architecture.
- C/C++ Fluency: Expert-level command of embedded C/C++, with a focus on efficiency and reliability.
- The "Dataforth" Mindset: You are a disciplined problem-solver who can navigate complex codebases and hardware interfaces with minimal oversight.
