Job Summary
The Director/Assistant/Associate Dean for Student Affairs is responsible for establishing and
overseeing the range of student services necessary to meet compliance with ACPE standards
and to ensure a safe and robust system of student life.
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
• Provide vision and leadership in student affairs.
• Establish and oversee student services across the college to meet compliance with ACPE
standards and ensure a safe and robust system of student life.
• Develop and monitor the effectiveness of student policies and procedures related to the
mission and goals of Roseman and the College of Pharmacy (COP).
• Coordinate with Roseman University’s Student Services Office to provide support services.
• Oversee enrollment management activities including the student withdrawal and leave of
absence process.
• Organize and participate in student orientation; COP White Coat ceremony; College Career
Fairs Award and Recognition events and other student activities on both campuses.
• Oversee and manage career services and professional programs for the COP.
• Serve as a member of the College’s Executive Committee, providing leadership and
constructive counsel as an effective member of the Dean’s administrative team.
• Serve as chair of the COP awards and recognition committee, and as an ex-officio member of
the admissions committee, academic performance and standards committee, assessment
committee, and other ad-hoc school and university committees.
• Collaborate with the University Student Professionalism Board to ensure students receive due
process.
• Collaborate with COP faculty and administration to promote professionalism.
• Develop and implement programs in collaboration with students, staff, faculty and the
administrative team that foster student leadership and professionalism.
• Prepare and ensure the accuracy of enrollment reports and data.
• Develop and implement strategies to maintain a strong applicant pool and student body.
• Establish relationships and network with pharmacy organizations to build a strong, diverse
applicant pool and student body.
• Foster diversity and inclusion.
• Serve as coordinator of alumni relations for the Dean.

• Regular attendance is an essential function of the job
• Reliable and timely with the expectation of 40+hours per week on site
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned

*Administrative and leadership experience in a higher education environment required.

*Experience in developing, implementing and assessing the full range of student services

Job Progression Requirements
This position has 3 tiers depending on experience and education.
Director –
- A Master or Doctorate degree is required; a minimum of 3 years’ experience at an
institution of higher education is preferred, or any combination of education,
experience and training which provides the following Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities.
• Assistant or Associate Dean

- Faculty appointment will be at a level commensurate with academic background
and experience.
- A PharmD and/or Doctorate degree is required; a minimum of 5 years’ experience
as a faculty member in a College of Pharmacy is preferred, or any combination of
education, experience and training which provides the following Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Individual must possess the knowledge and following skills and abilities or be able to perform
the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some
other combination of skills and abilities:
• Working knowledge of pharmacy school curricula and with the ACPE accreditation process
• Knowledge of admissions processes in a pharmacy curriculum
• Experience and knowledge of admissions processes in a pharmacy curriculum.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience working with diverse populations.
• Excellent team building skills.
• Knowledge of databases (online admissions systems; PharmCAS preferred)
• Broad knowledge of issues in pharmacy education
• Leadership skills

• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to network effectively to form alliances with local, state, regional and national colleges
which serve as a source for applicants
• Ability to respond to concerns of internal and external constituencies in an effective manner
• Knowledge of Accreditation Council of Pharmacy Education policies, procedures, standards,
and accreditation process
• Ability to exhibit professionalism even in a difficult situation
• Adhere to Roseman policies and procedure
