The Department of Radiology is seeking a Vice Chair of Clinical Operations for a large and growing academic Radiology practice. This position will report directly to the Chair of Radiology and provide leadership and oversight for over 150 clinical faculty providing specialized services at Clements University Hospital, Parkland Memorial Hospital, Children’s Health Dallas and Plano, and their affiliated clinics. This specialized team performs nearly one million exams annually.
The ideal candidate will be a committed leader with deep clinical expertise in all aspects of radiology and excited to work in an academic environment for one of the largest radiology training programs in the U.S. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. The candidate must also meet the following requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or foreign equivalent
- Fellowship trained
- Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology with an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas
Radiology Division & Facilities:
- Cutting-edge facilities, state-of-the-art technologies and equipment, and clinical programming, including reduced-radiation CT scanning, Positron-emission tomography, mobile mammography, noninvasive vascular imaging, interventional radiology, etc.
- Central reading rooms at all sites of service, at-home full PACS workstations, and freestanding reading stations located throughout the hospital systems
- ACGME-accredited Radiology training programs with remote conferencing capabilities to allow participation in virtual resident read-out sessions, lectures, and multidisciplinary conferences
- Basic and clinical research efforts in areas of study including clinical outcomes, new imaging-contrast agents and cancer imaging.
