Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist providing home health services in Newton, MA. Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their place of residence who have impairments, cognitive and/or physical, resulting from injury, disease, disability, or other causes. Patients may range in age from birth to older adults. Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to identify needs and coordinate services. Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources while documenting care using electronic systems. Travel within the assigned geographic area is required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- Minimum of two years of experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or home health as an Occupational Therapist.
- One year of certified home care OT experience preferred by client; must meet client-specific home care requirement.
- Ability to work with various computer software required. Experience with hand-held patient care devices preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
- Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing situations.
- Ability to travel within the home health geographic area served by the client.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of home health regulatory and documentation requirements preferred.
- Prior experience with Mass General Brigham home care preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 0800-1630.
- Schedule: Days.
- Travel required within the client's geographic service area covering multiple pods including Essex/Gloucester/Rockport, Ipswich, and North Pod communities.
- Start date contingent on credentialing clearance.
