Description
This is an exciting opportunity within Macquarie's Commodities and Global Markets Regulatory Interpretations Team in London, supporting CGM's focus on accuracy and completeness of transaction reporting (e.g. EMIR - European Market Infrastructure Regulation, MiFID - Markets in Financial Instruments Directive, SFTR - Securities Financing Transactions Regulation, REMIT - Regulation on wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency). You will work as part of a small cohesive global team that develops expertise (of both individuals and the team as a collective), to the maximum extent possible, with a global perspective. This team works directly with the business and operations functions to contribute to the continued improvement in processes, controls and regulatory risk awareness and culture across Macquarie's Commodities and Global Markets businesses.At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. What role will you play?
As a subject matter expert, you will apply and develop your knowledge of both transaction reporting rules and the different types of reportable transactions carried on by our businesses. You will provide advice and prepare interpretations of rules, in the context of specific products. This will be informed by regulator guidance, industry consensus, peer connections and the highly collaborative knowledge-sharing dynamic within the global Regulatory Interpretations team. This team's work is valued within Commodities and Global Markets because of the team's commitment to the continual development and maintenance of a close understanding of reportable products traded by Macquarie's Commodities and Global Markets and their systems. You will be continually learning about new business activities and elements of global reporting rulesets applicable to them.
What you offer
- 5+ years of experience interpreting and applying transaction reporting rules in a relevant capacity (e.g. Compliance, Legal).
