Overview

The Raising Golfers Golf Academy has two locations at Omni La Costa and Rancho Carlsbad Golf Club in Carlsbad, California.

Omni La Costa: Offers 36 holes of golf and world-class practice facilities for all skill levels. Omni La Costa Resort & Spa's golf courses and facilities are among the best in Southern California. La Costa has hosted the PGA TOUR's finest players over the years and is now the home of the NCAA Division 1 Men's and Women's Golf Championships at least through 2028. Omni La Costa golf is typically only open to Members and Resort Guests. However, through Raising Golfers Golf Academy it can be open to the public if enrolling through our Academy programs.

Rancho Carlsbad: Has one of the best driving ranges in North County San Diego with both grass and mats. Rancho Carlsbad has a wonderful 18-hole par 3 golf course which is perfect to learn and practice on for all levels.

Raising Golfers Golf Academy Founder Travis Howser, PGA started this Academy with six students three years ago, and it has now blossomed into a full-service Academy approaching 200 students for the community and surrounding area.

We are a team of coaches working together to improve at our craft and improve the lives of our students. All of us share a deep love for the game of golf and want to pass that on to our students. This
Summer Golf Camp Coach position would be working directly under the Camp Manager at Raising Golfers Golf Academy.

We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic and looking for a fun, outdoor and active role supporting our Academy summer golf camps. We anticipate nearly 300 kids participating in camps this
summer!

This is a great opportunity for an aspiring golf instructor to prosper within an already
established Academy golf camp structure and to build some coaching skills and credentials for the
future.

Experience Required

• Comfortable speaking to a group (especially kids)
• Has experience working with groups of kids.
• Ability to step out of your comfort zone and be a kid
• Available during the week days between the hours of 8:00am and 6:30 pm
• Experience working with, teaching and coaching children
• Plays golf at a high level with a low handicap
• Organized and punctual
• Comfortable working both individually and in a team of instructors
• Have reliable transportation (not a ride share)
• Capable of handling equipment bags
• Can adapt to changing circumstances in an upbeat and energized manner

The ideal candidate for this position is a person who has some experience playing golf, having played high school and/or college golf, or someone who plays golf currently and has ambitions to coach golf as a career. Prefer candidates who have experience working with children and specifically in a group setting. You will have a positive mindset, a lot of energy and enthusiasm and great communication
skills to connect well with the students and families of the Raising Golfers Golf Academy.

Essential Responsibilities

Coaching and leading activities for our summer golf camps on a weekly basis (9 weeks total,
mid-June through mid-August).
• Other time will be spent helping with site setup, tear down, and learning how the camp
operations of the Academy run so you assist the Camp Manager fully.
• Additional opportunities may be available within the Academy throughout the year if you are
interested in year-round and/or long-term golf coaching roles.

All Candidates are required to:
• Take a Background Check
• Conduct a Safety Training
• Complete CA Mandated Reporter Training
• Provide 3-5 Professional References from previous management
All Candidates Must be:
• Able to carry up to 50lbs
• Able to work in all weather conditions
The candidate who fills the role will be a W-2 employee paid on an hourly basis.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal, Contract
Pay: Between $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

• Carlsbad, CA 92010: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred but not included)
Education:
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
