Standalone Accounts Payable - Permanent, Successful Production and Engineering Business, Sydney Your new companyA well-established Australian engineering and production business with a strong national presence is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to work standalone in their collaborative Finance Team. The business operates across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and works with major, high-profile commercial partners.
Due to internal progression within the finance team, a full-time, permanent opportunity has become available for an experienced end-to-end, standalone Accounts Payable Officer. You will take full ownership of the AP function while being part of a friendly finance team of six. The role reports directly to the CFO and responsibilities include:

Full-function Accounts Payable

Matching, coding, and processing invoices

Managing weekly and monthly payment runs

Supplier statement reconciliations

Handling supplier queries and maintaining strong relationships

Month-end AP accrual support

Maintaining accurate AP records

Ad-hoc finance support as required

What you'll need to succeed

Strong experience in end-to-end AP, ideally standalone

Comfortable working in a standalone capacity

Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Experience using Xero is ideal

Enjoys working onsite in a collaborative environment
