Position Title: Sr. Azure Full-Stack Developer
Active DOD/DSS SECRET security clearance or higher (interim is acceptable).
All applicants must live in DC/MD/VA. Position is NOT remote Work location is downtown Washington, DC.
Overview:
As a Sr. Azure Full Stack Developer, you will participate in all phases of the software lifecycle with an emphasis on architecture, design, quality, and implementation. A major function of this role will be to upgrade, manage, and maintain the Azure development and application environment (Angular, C#, Java, etc.). A thorough and deep understanding of Angular, C#, Java, etc. will be critical to your success in the role. This role requires a self-sufficient, analytical developer with strong collaboration and communication skills who is comfortable owning a range of front and back-end initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and implement environments for applications, engineer suitable release management procedures and provide production support.
- Design and develop software code, perform unit tests and conduct peer reviews to make sure work utilizes coding standards and best practices for platform performance, and assess the overall quality of delivered components.
- Collaborate with peers on software design, to provide accurate work estimates and implementation of new features including interfaces, contracts with storage system, and data transformation.
- Lead the upgrade of complex Angular (v9), C#, and Java (v11) applications to their latest stable versions, ensuring compatibility, performance, and security.
- Liaise with other development, infrastructure and operations teams.
- Ensure that all security policies and practices are adhered to as part of development.
- Independently remediate security scan vulnerabilities in code.
- Work with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and other team members during the project phases to understand and implement the business functionality. Update program, project, and team leads on any tasks that are at risk or where project plan adjustments need to be made.
- Stay abreast of leading edge of technologies and best practices.
- Proficient in debugging and development across multiple technologies, including Java, Python, Spring Boot, Angular, .NET, and Azure (DevOps, App Services, Function Apps, and CI/CD pipelines).
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years in enterprise web development; 3+ years upgrading Angular, C#, Java applications.
- Demonstrated and recent primary experience developing/maintaining web applications written in Angular, C#, Java, & JavaScript.
- Demonstrated and recent experience in migrating/upgrading Angular, C#, Java frameworks and applications from older versions to newer current versions.
- Designing and developing highly scalable Spring Boot applications with Java.
- Experience with Azure cloud services, including networking, Logic Apps, Function Apps, App Services, firewalls, and log monitoring.
- Experience with web services utilizing JSON, SOAP and XML.
- Experience using DevOps Tools (GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) in enterprise web application development.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with technologies such as SQL, Python, .NET, HTML 5, and
- Experience with Unix scripting (Ruby, Perl, Python, shell) and/or Windows scripting (PowerShell, batch).
- Experience with DevOps - Continuous Integration, Automated Deployment of Spring Boot, Angular and .NET applications.
- Ability to lead upgrade projects, mentor junior developers, and communicate technical plans to non-technical stakeholders.
