Description
DESCRIPTION:Duties: Advise cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and make decisions on improvements to current technologies. Contribute to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies. Create reusable software frameworks that improve velocity and quality of output across teams and functions. Create scalable data frameworks using appropriate software design. Architect and implement enterprise solutions, including data and analytics platforms on cloud and on-premises services, preferably using AWS and Databricks, ensuring security, scalability, and compliance for ingestion, transformation, and consumption across structured and unstructured data sources. Drive evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and architecture. Define product data architecture target state and drive strategy achievement. Participate in data architecture governance bodies and evaluate recommendations for new technology, providing feedback. Design secure and automated pipelines for ingestion patterns. Support the implementation of enterprise-wide data governance frameworks and enforce access controls and lineage tracking. Evaluate workforce-related use cases to build knowledge graphs, skill maps, and support advanced analytics, including system dependency mapping and workforce intelligence using graphs. Produce and maintain technical documentation, including High-Level Design Documents and Architecture Decision Records. Host architecture review board meetings, lead architecture review sessions, and participate in governance bodies to ensure adherence to enterprise standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, security, and compliance, to align data and solution architecture with business needs and ensure solutions meet compliance and regulatory requirements. Contribute to architectural standards and communities of practice. Mentor architects and engineers on systems, standards, and processes under architecture.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or related field of study plus 7 years (84 months) of experience in the job offered or as Data Architect, Software Engineer, Project Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Designing RESTful APIs using Azure API Management; Architecting APIs and integrating them with serverless functions for scalable and robust application backends using Azure Functions; Developing and deploying microservices using technologies such as Azure Kubernetes Service or Azure App Service; Integrating SSO and IAM solutions to manage user access and policy enforcement across data platforms and third-party services; Architecting hybrid data platform solutions using Azure and on-premises services to support large-scale transactional and analytics solutions; Organizing architectural design reviews to align software components with enterprise architecture standards, ensuring scalability, security, resilience, and compliance; Delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability, including enterprise architecture solutions; Building data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure services such as Azure Blob storage, or Azure Data Factory; Configuring CI/CD pipelines; Designing both real-time, streaming and batch processing workloads; Implementing data governance and privacy frameworks using RBAC , ABAC and data cataloging; Exploring governance and workforce-related use cases with Neo4j; Modeling relational, dimensional, and graph data models; Modeling Kafka message topics; Governing and integrating data from third- party services, vendor systems, and SaaS applications such as Workday or SAP S/4HANA, into data lake environments using a variety of ingestion methods, such as real-time streaming, API integration or SFTP file transfers; Producing and maintaining architecture deliverables using HLDD, System architect Erwin data modelling tools, and Bizz design for architectural drawings; Managing workstreams using agile project management methodologies. This position requires the following certification(s): Architecture related Cloud certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, or Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals; TOGAF® 9; Enterprise design tools such as Bizz design Enterprise Studio® Certification or Erwin.
