POSITION
CNM is seeking an energetic and expert professional with a proven track record of achieving results to provide consulting and training services to a variety of organizations. CNM consultants help corporations and nonprofit organizations of all sizes and missions solve issues, create value, maximize growth, and improve business performance to achieve greater mission impact. The Senior Strategy Consultant will assist with organizational planning, fundraising strategies, program development, and overall operational effectiveness.
Our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector and experience in strategic planning and advising clients. The goal is to contribute to the overall success and sustainability of our organization, ensuring we effectively serve our community and achieve our mission.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform fieldwork related to planning, execution, fieldwork, analysis, reporting and follow-ups
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans and program initiatives
- Provide risk-based audit approach to mitigating and prioritizing key risks to identify relevant recommendations
- Identify and propose solutions to organizational challenges
- Provide strategic guidance on nonprofit management, organizational planning, board development and other functional areas of a nonprofit organization (e.g., finance, marketing, operations, fund development, HR, legal)
- Work closely with board members and staff to facilitate effective decision-making
- Monitor the organization’s effectiveness and propose improvements when necessary
- Assist with capacity building, including staff training and development
- Adhere to all nonprofit law and guidelines
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management or relevant field
- Proven experience as a nonprofit consultant or similar role
- Deep understanding of the nonprofit sector, including grant writing, fundraising, and strategic planning
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to teach client sessions and prepare reports to present data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to conduct thorough research and analysis
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities
- At least one year of prior project management experience and skills.
- Experience consulting with nonprofits, foundations, and/or government organizations.
- Computer proficiency that includes Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to demonstrate an exceptionally high level of flexibility, organization, and attention to detail and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
