OVERVIEW
Hunger Free Oklahoma is seeking a mission-driven Senior Operations Specialist with experience in maintaining project timelines, overseeing special projects, improving processes, and delivering strong customer service to get more produce in the hands of people who need it.
WHO WE ARE
Hunger Free Oklahoma is a statewide nonprofit established to leverage the power of collaboration to solve hunger in Oklahoma by improving systems, policies, and practices, facilitating public/private partnerships, and providing backbone support to existing organizations addressing hunger.
Hunger Free Oklahoma’s primary focus is to collaboratively work with community-based organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders who directly serve individuals. We provide support through technical assistance, convening, research, and policy guidance to nonprofit, government, and other stakeholders statewide.
The Double Up Oklahoma (DUO) Program matches SNAP, at participating grocery stores and farmers markets, $1 for $1 for fruits and vegetables to improve the food security, dietary quality, and health of low-income Oklahomans. Since 2019, DUO has provided $18 million in free fruits and vegetables to SNAP participants in Oklahoma. Double Up is a fast paced, high-profile program managed by Hunger Free Oklahoma.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Senior Operations Specialist will report to the Program Director for Double Up Oklahoma and be based in Tulsa or Oklahoma City. The role will evolve over time but the core responsibilities for this position include:
- DUO Operations: Maintain organized and accurate records for all DUO firms and projects. Own contract and vendor agreement process to ensure program compliance. Manage the DUO purchasing process and fulfill orders. Lead DUO team continuous improvement process to improve reoccurring projects and increase operational efficiency.
- Project Management: Lead project management for Double Up Oklahoma including developing and maintaining project plans, timelines and using project management tools, to drive results. Provide timely updates on progress to all stakeholders to ensure accountability and deadlines are met. Lead special projects as needed to support DUO team goals.
- Data and Reports: Review monthly small-scale firm reports to ensure accuracy and compliance and approve corresponding invoices. Maintain internal data and invoice tracking systems in partnership with Continuous Improvement and Finance Teams. Gather data, information, and success stories for presentations, reports, and special requests.
- Cross-Functional Support: Crosstrain on both small-scale and large-scale firm operation processes. Provide exceptional customer service, as a first line of support to internal and external stakeholders. Represent Double Up Oklahoma and Hunger Free Oklahoma at events as needed.

This position is full-time and based in Tulsa or Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role requires the ability to independently travel to sites across Oklahoma (about 1 day/month) and may require occasional evening and weekend work to support events and programming. This position requires the ability to perform medium physical effort consisting of occasionally handling, lifting, or moving objects 20-30 pounds for handling resources and supplies, and to sit or stand to complete office-oriented work an average of 8 hours a day.

Hunger Free Oklahoma offers the benefit of a hybrid work schedule, allowing up to 3 days a week for remote work for much of the year. Participating in the hybrid schedule requires access to reliable internet and a dedicated workspace at home. Hunger Free Oklahoma provides the necessary equipment.

Requirements
WHO YOU ARE
To qualify for this job, you will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent and have 8 or more years of relevant experience; OR 8 years in a combination of post-secondary education or training and relevant work experience
- Background in operations, project management, finance, grant management, or administration
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Experience managing data with common tools including Excel or Smartsheet
- Experience using Salesforce, Office 365, and Canva
- Experience using Microsoft Planner or similar project management tool to manage large-scale projects
