Our growing North Texas litigation firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney with a strong background in motion practice and legal briefing to join our expanding team.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled writer who enjoys shaping case strategy, drafting persuasive arguments, and working on complex litigation in both state and federal courts.
About the Role
This is not an insurance defense volume practice. This role is ideal for attorneys coming from large firm, boutique litigation, or federal clerkship backgrounds seeking sophisticated work without BigLaw bureaucracy.
The ideal candidate is a confident legal writer with approximately 8–12 years of litigation experience and a demonstrated ability to independently draft and respond to dispositive motions, including:
Motions for Summary Judgment
Rule 12 motions
Daubert motions
Discovery motions
Appellate-style briefing
You will work closely with firm leadership on high-exposure matters and play a critical role in case strategy from early evaluation through trial.
Qualifications
Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar
Minimum 8+ years of litigation experience
Exceptional legal research and writing skills
Extensive motion practice experience in state and federal courts
Ability to manage complex briefing with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
Judicial clerkship or appellate experience is a plus but not required.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
8–12 years of civil litigation experience
Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar
Demonstrated experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions, including Motions for Summary Judgment
Strong command of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
Proven ability to manage briefing from initial research through final filing with minimal supervision
Exceptional legal research, analytical reasoning, and persuasive writing skills
Experience handling cases in both Texas state and federal courts
Ability to evaluate legal risk and contribute meaningfully to litigation strategy
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in active litigation matters
Professional judgment and client-facing communication skills
Preferred (But Not Required)
Judicial clerkship or appellate experience
Background in complex commercial, construction, employment, insurance, or business litigation
Experience with Daubert motions and expert challenges
Deposition and hearing experience
Familiarity with e-discovery platforms
Writing samples will be required for candidates selected for interviews.
