Girl Scouts San Diego | Summer Seasonal Role (21+)

The Assistant Camp Director supports daily camp operations, staff leadership, and program delivery to ensure campers have a safe, fun, and well-organized summer.
What You’ll Do:
As Assistant Day Camp Director, you’ll help run a safe, fun, and well-organized camp experience by:
- Supporting daily camp operations and keeping programs running smoothly
- Supervising, training, and supporting camp staff with feedback and coaching
- Coordinating camper registration info, health forms, permits, and contracts
- Coordinate communication with parents and caregivers via phone and email with professionalism and care
- Foster a positive, supportive camp culture for staff, campers, and volunteers
- Help manage communication, resolve conflicts, and address concerns when they arise
- Helping manage the camp budget and creating weekly reports
- Assisting with staff meetings, pre-camp training, and mid-summer trainings
- Helping ensure all programs meet Girl Scouts, ACA, and safety standards
- Supporting emergency procedures and camper well-being

Requirements
You might be a great fit if you:
- Are 21 years or older
- Are detail-oriented and love staying organized
- Have experience with day camps, youth programs, or team leadership
- Communicate well and enjoy working with diverse groups
- Bring a positive, confident, and professional attitude
- Can work independently and make good decisions
- Understand health and safety basics (or are eager to learn)
- Have (or can get) First Aid/CPR certification before camp starts
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Believe in the mission and values of Girl Scouting
