One of our clients is seeking a Special Education School Counselor

CLIENT'S AVAILABLE HOURS
Full-Scheduled Role
Location: Middle School (6-8th grade)
Schedule: (M-F) 37.5 hrs/week

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
The SPED Counselor provides academic, social-emotional, and career guidance to students receiving special education services. The counselor works closely with students, families, teachers, and other school staff to support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ensure students' needs are met for academic success, social-emotional development, and post-secondary transitions. Duties include providing counseling, collaborating on IEPs, supporting behavioral and coping strategies, and assisting with student transitions.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Master's degree in School Counseling, Guidance Counseling, or related field
• Texas School Counselor Certification (TExES School Counselor Exam passed)

• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and IEP processes (IDEA compliance)

Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
