As a Vice President in the Regulatory Support and Control team within Market Operations as a part of Commercial & Investment Banking, you lead regulatory change and reporting across asset classes and jurisdictions. You partner closely with Front Office, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and PMO to translate rules into robust processes and controls. You drive exception management, deliver timely regulatory submissions, and uplift team capabilities to sustain a high-control environment.
Job Summary
As a Vice President in the Regulatory Support and Control team within Market Operations as a part of Commercial & Investment Banking, you lead regulatory change and reporting across asset classes and jurisdictions. You partner closely with Front Office, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and PMO to translate rules into robust processes and controls. You drive exception management, deliver timely regulatory submissions, and uplift team capabilities to sustain a high-control environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead regulatory control monitoring and serve as Operations Lead
- Drive standardized processes to track exceptions, identify root causes, and implement timely solutions
- Respond to internal and external regulatory reporting queries as a central point of contact
- Educate stakeholders on regulatory decision trees and applicability across products
- Partner extensively with Sales, Trading, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, and Technology
- Chair and participate in internal forums reviewing initiatives, priorities, and milestones
- Manage team deliverables, engagement, and skills development to meet evolving requirements
- Serve as escalation point for Technology issues; coordinate swift remediation with partners
- Ensure protocols, communication, and documentation in the event of breaches or incidents
- Implement end-to-end controls for Dodd-Frank, EMIR, SEC, CFTC, and CAD reporting
- Champion continuous improvement to enhance control effectiveness and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bring prior investment banking experience with strong Fixed Income and Commodity derivatives product knowledge (10+ years)
- Apply prior regulatory role experience to design and operate robust control frameworks
- Manage initiatives and projects with disciplined execution and stakeholder alignment
- Lead teams effectively under high pressure to deliver results and maintain control standards
- Engage confidently with clients to explain requirements and manage inquiries
- Utilize understanding of client reference data to strengthen regulatory reporting accuracy
- Demonstrate hands-on regulatory reporting knowledge across North American regimes (CFTC, SEC, CAD)
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Operate with strong risk and controls awareness and meticulous attention to detail
- Deliver consistently amid changing priorities and high-volume processes
- Execute OTC derivatives processing across multiple asset classes with lifecycle expertise
- Communicate and present clearly at all organizational levels to drive alignment
