Description
We are looking for a Recruiting & Employee Experience Specialist to join our HR team and provide support to the hiring managers in each of our 9 locations across Manitoba.
The successful candidate will be a smart, curious, experienced recruiter, who is fully invested in finding great people to join the team and providing the best new employee experience.

We are located in the south end of Winnipeg, near Fort Whyte Alive, where you can explore nature on a trail walk or you can access the nearby shops and services at lunchtime.
This is an onsite role that also includes occasionally driving to rural locations for career fairs and school visits and it is open to candidates who are legally allowed to work in Canada.
Requirements
Key Accountabilities
Your creativity, organizational skills, and ability to create connections with people will have an opportunity to shine in this role.
- Workforce Planning: Work closely with managers to forecast and understand needs.
- Sourcing Strategies: Develop creative strategies for recruiting hard to fill positions, leveraging marketing tools and social media.
- Connect with our Communities: develop relationships with local high schools, colleges and universities. Connect with labour pools including new Canadians, military and mid-career candidates by attending career fairs and events.
- Keep on Top of Things: Effectively manage the recruiting process through the Applicant Tracking System. Manage the selection and onboarding process logistics.
- Provide a Superior Candidate Experience: Ensure prompt communication and fair and respectful treatment for all applicants and candidates.
- Efficiently Manage the Selection, Hiring and Onboarding Process
- Continuous Improvement: Conduct exit interviews, track relevant metrics, stay current with best practices. We are very supportive of learning and innovation – bring your ideas!
- Be an active part of the HR team – you will be a part of all HR activities and initiatives.
Required Skills:
- 2-3 years’ experience in recruiting/talent acquisition
- Post secondary continuing education in HR, RPR designation, or a combination of relevant experience and education.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills. Experience in marketing positions and leveraging social media for recruiting and brand awareness
- Demonstrated experience building relationships
- Intermediate skills in Word and Excel
- Familiar with Manitoba employment and Human Rights legislation
- Helpful experience: supporting multiple sites, familiarity with the ag industry
