Physiotherapist and Exercise physiologist

Small business, established 2019, is in need of a physiotherapist and exercise physiologist required. Any knowledge of Woman's health including pre and post natal BONUS.

The physiotherapist role will focus on helping patients prevent or recover from injury and guiding them in improving their strength and movement. The role will be committed to providing a high standard of patient care and the provision of specialist advice and support using appropriate treatment therapies. The practitioner will work closely with internal and external health service providers to ensure the provision of specialist advice and support. Typical requirements and responsibilities of this role are:

• Making assessments of patients' physical conditions and working with patients with a variety of conditions, sometimes over a long term period
• Diagnosing, assessing and treating problems
• Formulating treatment plans to address the conditions and needs of patients
• Conducting complex mobilization techniques
• Educating patients on how to prevent injuries and live a healthy lifestyle
• Referring patients to doctors and other medical practitioners
• Planning and organizing physiotherapy and fitness programs
• Keeping reports on patients and their progress
• Conducting group classes / treatment in-house and on location
• Liaising and working with other healthcare professionals (such as a GP, nurses, health & fitness instructors) to encourage a holistic approach to treatment
• Excellent communication skills

Requirements

Essential requirements, skills or experience:

• Must be an Australian Citizen
• Have own ABN/ACN (Preferred)
• Degree in physiotherapy and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) unrestricted registration as a physiotherapist
• Maintain currency in subject matter expertise through ongoing professional development and learning opportunities outside the formal education process.
• Ability to quickly establish effective and authentic rapport
• Demonstrated high level emotional intelligence
• Availability to undertake Home Visit travel (if required)
• Excellent administration and record keeping skills

Desirable requirements, skills or experience:

• Current valid Australian driver’s license ( Located in Bass Hill we are not near any major public transport so Drivers licence is preferable)
• Arabic speaking
• Experience using Nookal
