Our client is looking out for a Payroll Officer to join the team after a recent promotion! Centrally located, their organisation is established and well-structured, making it well suited to someone who enjoys accuracy, routine and being part of a team that shares the workload when deadlines hit.

Your new role

• Supporting end-to-end payroll processing for a monthly payroll of approximately 70 employees
• Maintaining and updating employee payroll records, including leave, allowances and deductions
• Interpreting awards and employment conditions
• Managing time and attendance data and responding to payroll queries
• Preparing payroll reports, reconciliations and journals
• Assisting with statutory payroll requirements and compliance
• Providing additional support across accounts receivable and payable during busy periods
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and supporting financial queries when required

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a payroll position (end-to-end or supporting)
• Strong understanding of payroll cycles, time sheets and leave processing
• Award interpretation experience
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• A calm, professional approach to managing queries and deadlines
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills
