Description
Compliance/Governance Specialist is needed for a prestigious organisation. Your new companyAre you a detail-driven payroll professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys improving systems, processes, and service delivery? We're looking for a proactive and collaborative Payroll Services Specialist, who can help deliver accurate, compliant, and high-quality payroll operations.
Your new role
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting day-to-day payroll operations, driving remediation activities, and ensuring governance and compliance across multiple payroll functions. You will work closely with the Manager, Payroll Services, to support both strategic initiatives and complex operational matters, while contributing to continuous improvement in systems, processes, and service delivery.
- Lead and manage ongoing remediation activities including data analysis, change management, communications, and reconciliation work.
- Implement audit actions and strengthen internal controls in line with audit recommendations.
- Support major payroll system changes, including upgrades
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of payroll governance frameworks that meet enterprise agreements, modern awards, legislation, and organisational policies.
- Investigate and resolve complex pay-related enquiries within agreed service timelines.
- Assist with large scale payroll changes such as EA increases, award rate updates, and yearend leave loading processes.
- Prepare and distribute reports for stakeholders, including internal and external auditors.
- Drive improvements and standardisation across payroll processes and operating procedures.
- Manage and support payroll system upgrades and change activities.
- Analyse HR and payroll services to identify opportunities for efficiency, optimisation, and enhanced customer experience.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
- Confident navigating complex payroll systems and regulatory requirements
- Experienced in stakeholder communication and change-driven environments
- Comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Passionate about process improvement and governance
- A team player with strong customer service focus
