Associate Attorney — Personal Injury Litigation RF Injury Law, P.C. | New York & New Jersey | $75,000-$90,000 + Bonus
RF Injury Law, P.C. is a boutique plaintiff's personal injury firm with offices in Manhattan and West New York, NJ. We focus on high-value litigation including construction accidents under New York Labor Law, traumatic brain injuries, and catastrophic injury cases. We are seeking a junior associate attorney (1-3 years) to join our team and develop into a skilled trial lawyer.
The Role:
This is a litigation position with real responsibility. You will carry your own caseload, draft substantive motions and pleadings, take and defend depositions, appear in court, and participate in mediations and trial preparation. You will work directly with the founding attorney on complex cases from inception through resolution, with increasing autonomy as you develop. This is not a document review position and it is not a settlement mill, we litigate our cases aggressively and prepare every file as if it's going to trial.
Responsibilities include:
Managing a personal injury caseload in New York and New Jersey state and federal courts
Drafting motions for summary judgment, oppositions, discovery demands and responses, complaints, and appellate briefs
Conducting depositions, attending court conferences, and arguing motions
Reviewing and analyzing medical records, expert reports, and case documentation to develop case strategy
Communicating directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
Assisting with trial preparation including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and pre-trial motions
Conducting legal research on liability, damages, and procedural issues
Qualifications:
1-3 years of litigation experience; personal injury or civil litigation preferred
Active NY and NJ bar admission strongly preferred; NY admitted with NJ pending considered
Strong legal research and writing skills
Ability to work independently while being receptive to mentorship and feedback
Bilingual (Spanish) a significant plus

$75,000-$90,000 base salary commensurate with experience
