ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family.
Function Statement: Licensed Massage Therapist evaluates clients by verbal consultation and treating clients by manipulating the body. All spa treatments are for the sole purpose of relieving stress, pain, healing injuries and aiding in the general wellness of clients.
Major Duties:
Responsible for performing all massage/ body services including but not limited to body wraps, all increments of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Pre, and Post Natal Massage.
Must be able to take effective “SOAP” notes for each guest.
Responsible for ensuring all equipment is clean, sanitized and organized after each client and at the end of the day.
Greet clients and perform consultations in a professional manner prior to treatment.
Advise clients on home care and use of products.
Must have time management skills, as each service has its own time allotment.
Must have knowledge of all services offered and have the ability to “up-sale” or help boost business within the spa.
As needed will be responsible for reception duties including but not limited to checking in/out of clients, and daily spa booking requests.
Must be able to retain and build a steady clientele.
Factor 1: Knowledge Required for this Position
Must hold a Massage Therapy License from the state of Oklahoma and maintain personal liability insurance.
Must be knowledgeable about all facets of the body therapy industry.
Ability to ensure all services and products are charged at the correct price.
Ability to work with computers: booking software and other various programs.
Ability to communicate in a professional and respectful manner with clients/ co-workers and work as a team player.
Factor 2: Supervisory Controls
Incumbent is under the direct supervision of the Spa Manager
The manager assigns work, schedules, advises on changes to be made and is available for assistance when needed.
Routine work is performed independently following set procedures.
Factor 3: Complexity
The complexity level of this position is medium and involves decision making, great customer service, handling moderate front desk duties with multiple distractions, and multitasking.
Factor 4: Physical Demands
Sitting or standing for long periods of time; Physical stamina and mobility; has complete dexterity in both hands; overall good body mechanics.
Factor 5: Other Requirements
High School diploma or GED.
Basic math and cash handling skills.
Excellent communication skills with clients and staff.
Ability to problem solve.
Ability to work weekends.
Honesty and integrity.
