What You Will Do
- Provides support for building wide programs and activities.
- Assists with programming coordination.
- Provides a variety of support to the staff in the design, planning and implementation of programs, events, and activities.
- Compiles and reviews assessment data from events, programs and services, and summarizes findings.
- Provides support for the operations and procedures of the MUC.
- Serves as a liaison and representative in various capacities as requested.
- Serves as liaison for students and community regarding inquiries and the clarification and interpretation of internal policies and procedures on behalf of the MUC.
- Manages confidential filing and personnel files within the unit.
- Manages unit assessment data and completes annual reports as required.
- Provides budget projections and information on the feasibility of expenditures.
- Serves as the MUC liaison with Human Resources on personnel concerns such as unit hiring, PEALEAV administration, payroll issues, and department time entry.
- Determines student staffing needs.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge and/or experience in general office/clerical practices and procedures
Preferred:
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Knowledge of general programming and event management
- Skill in oral and written communication
- Ability to work effectively with staff, the public, and outside constituency groups
- Ability to organize and multi-task
- Ability to utilize various computer software packages
- Ability to work independently and exercise judgment in order to be able to analyze and investigate a variety of questions or problems
- Duties performed require knowledge of University programs, policies, and procedures and the ability to operate computer systems, using various computer and software packages including but not limited to Event Management System (EMS), NeoEd, TimePro, Banner, Cascade, and Qaltrics.

Illinois Residency Requirement: Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position.
