Landscape Installation Foreman in Training
Hoffman & McNamara Nursery and Landscape is expanding — and we’re looking for a Landscape Installation Foreman in Training who’s ready to learn to lead with energy, skill, and pride. What This Role Is About
As a Landscape Installation Foreman in Training, you will safely and efficiently learn to manage the installation of our landscape projects throughout the Upper Midwest. You’ll lead crews in the field, coach and train fellow team members, and ensure work is completed safely, on time, and at the high-quality Hoffman & McNamara is known for.
You’ll also be expected to communicate clearly with customers and use common field technology for reporting and scheduling.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and supervise installation crews on landscape projects
Coach team members on safe, efficient work methods
Communicate professionally with customers and team members
Use technology (mobile apps, digital reporting, scheduling tools) to stay organized
Adapt to changing conditions and keep projects moving forward
Pay, Benefits & Schedule
Pay: Starting at $27- $29 per hour
Overtime: Typically expected most weeks — amount varies based on season and workload
Benefits (after onboarding period): Health Insurance, PTO, Holiday Pay, Profit Sharing
Seasonal Work Period: Approximately 9 months per year (March through November/December) with overtime during peak season. Possibility for some winter work based upon the seasonal needs of Hoffman and McNamara.
This role includes some overnight travel (some years more, some less).
Company-paid accommodations & Per diem provided
Back from out of town for each Saturday and Sunday
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Valid Class A CDL driver’s license (if you don't have one, we will pay half of the fee for you to obtain it.)
Previous landscape installation experience
Prior leadership or supervisory experience
Strong customer communication skills
Comfortable using field technology
Independent, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Ability to lift 60+ pounds regularly
Bonus Skills
Experience operating tractors, skid steers, and small engines
Secondary education (not required but a plus)
Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) highly encouraged to apply
